With nearly 200 stores in 3 states, UDF has grown a lot since 1940. We thought they had something no other gas station could compete with—really freakin’ good ice cream. While working as a designer for UDF’s Agency of Record, designed all sorts of assets. Although the subject matter changed, all aligned to our brand-mantra “There’s No Place Like UDF.”

AGENCY OF RECORD
Being AOR meant lots of output on a strict retail schedule. Promotions were happening bi-weekly—in-store, OOH, online and even on tanker trucks. There was always new products that earned you gas $, new flavors that begged for packaging and new radio spots that needed melodic taglines.
MY ROLE
As the sole designer on a small creative team, I was in charge of output. Every piece needed to have that "There's No Place Like UDF" magic and it was my job to put it there. I learned how to take a new brand vision, make it grow and watch it evolve into an even sweeter experience.

UDF’s rewards & promotions needed a platform, and the whole site needed a tri-colored facelift. Through agile process,
we were able to design and develop the site in 4 months—just in time to promote their 75th anniversary.
